In collaboration with the Pacific Symphony, Bowed Piano Ensemble is Colorado College’s internationally recognized experimental music group. They have a fascinating approach to piano performance in which the interior components of a grand piano are “played” with fish line, ribbon, mallets and brushes, and the spellbinding performance results in haunting, beautiful music.
Louis Sachar is an award-winning author of over twenty-one fiction and
educational books for children. Louis's book, Holes, won the prestigious
National Book Award and the Newbery Medal.
Step into a world of the surreal, where disbelief is suspended
and nothing is what it seems. A smash hit in London, Aurélia’s Oratorio is
described as a “magical whirl of visual illusions and trickery.” Inspired
by the magic of the music hall, variety and circus, this show stars
Aurélia Thierrée, Charlie Chaplin’s granddaughter, and is created and
directed by her mother Victoria Chaplin Thierrée. Actress, illusionist,
and dancer, Aurélia takes us into an unforgettable realm of fun, fantasy,
and whimsy.
